About us
How is Strait Ace different?
Our program combines the benefits of teacher-led instruction, a students-first approach, and weekly quizzes, with the convenience of the online classroom. On top of that, our students can also seek help from us if they have any problems/need clarification with their schoolwork.
This dual approach allows students to build a strong foundation in a consistent and structured manner and also score well in schools.
Do you offer private lessons?
Yes we do. Please contact us for more details.
Classes
What is your class size?
Our class sizes are small. We typically have maximum six students per class and group students by age and their math/language abilities. We have found that this is the optimal size for successful group work and individual attention.
How will I stay updated on my child’s progress?
A key aspect of our program is keeping parents informed on what happens in the classroom. Parents receive quarterly progress reports that indicate what students have learned and progressed. Besides regular email updates on students’ progress, parents are also welcome to review recorded sessions of completed classes via the Classin app.
Who are your teachers?
Our experienced teachers are carefully chosen for their academic ability and enthusiasm when presenting materials to students. We train and work with our teachers to continue to develop their skills through professional development and constant teacher observation and feedback.
Do you have a free trial class?
Yes we do! Please click here to schedule a free trial class for your child.
What if my child miss a class?
All our class sessions are recorded. Students can watch the videos and get caught up prior to their next class.
What if we travel during school holidays?
You can attend our class even while traveling. All you need is a computer and a reliable internet connection.
Requirements
What is the time commitment?
Our classes are for 60 minutes per week unless specified otherwise. Practice work is assigned after every class which will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
What technology do we need at home?
You will need the following: 1) A computer/ipad with a keyboard, microphone, and speaker – almost all laptops bought within the last five years ago should have these; 2) Classin app installed in your learning device and 3) A reliable internet connection. Also, a writing pad such as Wacom is great so students can write down their notes/workings more efficiently in class.
